Robert W. Maring, Esq.

IMG_5057.JPGRobert was raised in Georgetown, and so it was only natural that when he decided to set down roots in a community, he chose to establish his home and practice in Georgetown County. Happily married and the proud father of two children, Robert enjoys life in the SC Lowcountry from both personal and professional angles.

After graduating with a BA from The Citadel in Charleston, SC, Robert went on to recieve his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Robert was admitted to the bar in 1995, and has been in an active practice of the law during the fifteen years since then. He hasn't only been a lawyer, though; Robert served in the South Carolina Army National Guard from 1986 until 2005, ending his service commissioned as a Captain in the Field Artillery. He attends church at Belin Methodist in Murrells Inlet, SC, and has served the community as well by sitting on numerous community-related boards and committees.

Robert is a member of the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the SC Workers Compensation Claimants Association, and both the Georgetown and South Carolina Bar Associations. Robert is Admitted to Practice in all South Carolina Courts, and all Federal District Courts in South Carolina.

Robert's primary areas of practice include consumer litigation, real estate-related litigation, complex litigation, and injury related litigation including workers compensation.

Laura M. Moyer, Esq.

dscf1159.jpgLaura graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Minor in English, and a Minor in Dance (2004). After receiving her Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2007, Laura was admitted to the SC Bar in 2007.  Since that time, she has been both practicing law and teaching at Coastal Carolina University in the Political Science Department.

Laura and her family attend church at Georgetown Presbyterian Church, where she is a member of the Session.

Laura is a member of the Georgetown Bar Association, South Carolina Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.

Laura's primary areas of practice are commercial and residential real estate, probate administration, estate planning, and business formations, contracts, and transactions.

Our Office

Our office is in a renovated historical Georgetown home, conveniently locatedIMG_5048.JPG across the street from the new County courthouse.

From the classic Lowcountry exterior architecture, to the heart pine flooring in the rooms inside, we're proud to be serving you out of an office that is a part of our citys Historical District. The office was originally constructed in 1879 as a residence. After extensive restoration following the Historical District guidelines, we became the proud owners of our building in the spring of 2007.
